Please join us in celebrating this season of peace by helping us serve the children who need our love and support. . .

WHAT: 2nd Annual ‘Ohana Christmas Dinner for the Hungry & Needy
December 20, 2014, 1 – 4 pm
At Queen Emma Community Center in Kealakekua

WHO: All food-insecure children, teens & families in Ka’u, Honaunau, Kealakekua, Kainaliu, Captain Cook & Kona, Hawaii.

WHAT: Food Deliveries & Two Free Buffet Seatings of 200 meals with nourishing dishes, entrees of turkey & vegan delicacies, vegetables, organic fruit, traditional desserts & beverages. 100 gift baskets with 500 more meals in dry and canned food as well as school tools will be provided to 100 families upon departure. Traditional Peace Blessing & festive entertainment throughout the day include a TALK STORY WITH SANTA, a clown, live music and painting stations offered so keiki can make gifts for families.

WHEN: Saturday, December 20, 1 – 4 pm

WHERE: Queen Emma Center, Christ Church Episcopal 81-1004 Konawaena School Road, Kealakekua, HI 96750

HOW: Needed: Donations of vegan dishes, turkeys, pies, healthy desserts, healthy canned drinks and non-perishable foods and toys. Donate dry food, toys, new shoes, clothes & skills-building tools at our Collection Box at Amy Greenwell Garden, 82-6160 Mamalahoa Hwy, Captain Cook.

WHY: To end childhood hunger on the Big Island, one keiki at time.
Volunteer Opportunities: Chef Captains, Kitchen Prep, Food Gift Bag Assembly, Drivers with their own vehicles. Come pack take-home food and gift boxes with us! Have a gift to include for the keiki? Santa’s helpers, elves, entertainers and food service support all welcome.
