About Marya Mann, Ph. D.

With deep love and respect for the physical and spiritual traditions of Yoga, Hula, and the Indigenous Arts of Hawai’i, Bali, North America, and the Pacific Rim, Marya brings four decades of practice, study, and teaching to share with you. She developed Evolutionary Yoga Flow to integrate ancient practices with modern neuroscience, quantum physics, somatic psychology, and collective trauma healing.

In her private practice, she offers Quantum Healing, PSYCH-K, and Sacred Dreaming sessions at Kona Coast Yoga & Wellness and the Lotus Spa at the Royal Kona Resort.

Her Yoga Teachers include: in Ashtanga, Richard Freeman and Maty Ezraty; in Tantra, Rod Stryker; in Prana Vinyasa, Shiva Rea; and in Hatha, Erich Schiffman. As a student of acharya Pema Chödrön, she took refuge in the Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. She studied Holotropic Breathwork with Stan Grof and explored the linkages between Buddhism and Shamanism with Joan Halifax. As a Lecturer at Hawai’i Community College, she has given extensive talks on Hank Wesselman’s account of his close friendship with a Polynesian Shaman, featured in Bowl of Light. Highlighting the teachings of Kahuna Nui Hale Kealohalani Makua for a course on Yoga with Hawaiian Perspectives, she found remarkable philosophical and ritual alignments among many cultures.
