In this set of Blessing Dances, you’ll hear the heart-opening words of Hafiz, experience movement unlike anything before, and share laughter with the heart-centered, relevant humor of Merry Mana, Dr. Marya’s alter-ego, all in wholesome support of our spiritual evolution.
Through the Quantum Art Journey, or QAJ, our New Thought Community has explored the eight discrete elements of the creative process. Each of the eight potentials in Marya’s masterful Wheel of Creativity helps awaken potent skills for living the happy, creative life we were meant to live.
Where indigenous mind and the emerging field of bio-mimicry meet, we look to nature for inspiration and solutions to many of our most stubborn spiritual challenges. We have the power to turn personal and planetary “vicious cycles into delicious cycles,” says Dr. Marya. The QAJ shows us how the dance of life offers extraordinary new tools.
Our journey on the QAJ path of mystical physics and the creative arts began a year ago and we’ve explored Domain #1: Hear the Call, #2: The Fall, #3: The Flow, #4: The Field, #5: The Five Secrets. This Sunday will offer #6: The Sixth Sacred Thing, the turning point. You don’t need to have attended the other sessions to gain insight from the Samadhi domain. Samadhi is the tool. Not the goal.
The eight potentials of the QAJ mirror skills developed by mythic heroes from nearly every culture, a voyage mapped as the “hero’s journey” by one of Marya’s teachers, Joseph Campbell, whose work emerged in the 20th century. But we are now transformed heroes. We are on a new journey, in a 21st century world, beyond homo sapiens and transforming into homo gaia. Intrinsic creativity in each of the 600 trillion cells in our bodies renew, recharge, and reinvent us. This reinvention can be an enlightening experience, as you’ll see in this sixth domain, Samadhi, the place of the third eye and whole body cellular revitalization.
SPECIAL NOTE for anyone stuck in repetitive cycles: We’ve all been there. Most of us will be there at some point again. No matter how dark the dark night of the soul was or is, there is awakening and karmic resolution at the cellular level — if we feel, engage, and trust the natural dynamics of the universe. Nature reinvents us, even in the wake of horrible destruction, and even after some of the horrible destruction we imagined, but never really happened. You know, the times when we realize the joke’s on us! A little cellu-hilarity always helps the process along.

About Marya Mann, Ph. D.
Marya, co-author of Healing Our Planet, Healing Our Selves, embarked on a cross-cultural journey to find the dynamics of the creative process 25 years ago. Her Yoga Dance DVD is the fruition of training, research and performances in Indonesia, Australia, India, Europe, and the U.S.A. Her explorations of energy healing, dance-movement therapy, tantric and kundalini yoga, and mind-body medicine led to advanced training in PSYCH-K and the Psychology of Creativity. She now works as a practicing Psychologist at the Loom of Love and the Lotus Center in Kona. She leads improvisation groups, teaches sacred dance at Kalani Resort in Puna and Oceanside at Kona Reef, and has pioneered an ethnic fusion dance form based on an ancient Cherokee dance called Dance for the Worlds, She has inspired and empowered thousands of people from the Naropa Institute in Boulder, Co. to schools and nursing homes in Illinois and youth-at-risk in the Solomon Islands and New York City, sharing transformation through the creative and theater arts, guiding students to move like who they really are. Her writing has appeared in dozens of publications including Ke Ola, Nexus, and Light on Consciousness.
She believes everyone can tap into zero-point, or quantum creative and healing energies, to heal, grow, align with the highest good, and prosper. With her unique blend of humor, storytelling, and passion for dance, she thinks our happiness and health are too serious not to make fun!
