About Marya Mann, Ph. D.

With deep love and respect for the physical and spiritual traditions of Yoga, Hula, and the Indigenous Arts of Hawai’i, Marya has studied in Bali, North America, and along the Pacific Rim. She brings four decades of practice, study, dance, and teaching to share.

A playful, compassionate teacher, she developed Evolutionary Yoga Flow to integrate ancient practices with modern arts and sciences, and to give students a potent way to embody the highest states of Yoga, no matter what their starting point. “You don’t have to be physically flexible,” she says! “And you don’t have to do it alone. All you have to do is be willing to be moved by the Spirit. That only requires mental flexibility and a soulful intention.”

Her classes are sprinkled with innovative movement sequences, poetry, quantum physics, somatic psychology, and processes for collective trauma and disease healing. In her private practice she offers Quantum Healing, PSYCH-K, and Sacred Arts sessions at Kona Coast Yoga & Wellness, and at the Lotus Spa at the Royal Kona Resort. As a Lecturer at Hawai’i Community College, she has given talks on Hank Wesselman’s Bowl of Light and the teachings of Kahuna Nui Hale Kealohalani Makua for a course in Yoga with Hawaiian Perspectives.
